The Ministerio de Salud de Costa Rica has recently used its official social media platform to share guidance and messages related to medication safety and mental health. The posts, published on August 29 and 30, 2025, emphasize the importance of responsible health practices and resilience in the face of adversity.

On August 29, the Ministry warned against purchasing medications without a prescription. In its post, it stated: “No compre medicamentos sin prescripción. Proteja su salud siguiendo estos consejos https://t.co/ildrTTFyPO” (August 29, 2025). This message highlights ongoing efforts by health authorities to reduce risks associated with self-medication and improper drug use, which can lead to adverse effects or complications.

(August 29, 2025). The statement underscores the significance of recognizing personal value during difficult times as part of maintaining good mental health.

On August 30, another post from the Ministry addressed overcoming emotional challenges: “Superar el rechazo, el dolor y la tristeza no es fácil.
#VivirConEsperanza #SaludEsBienestar #SaludMental https://t.co/Pnjh3Mjx9q”
(August 30, 2025).

The Ministry’s campaign aligns with broader public health initiatives in Costa Rica aimed at preventing misuse of pharmaceuticals and promoting open conversations about mental well-being. These efforts reflect ongoing strategies by national authorities to safeguard public health through education on both physical and psychological aspects.
