The Ministerio de Salud de Costa Rica published several updates on its official Twitter account in December 2025, providing information to the public about office hours, health advice, and guidance on reporting violence against women.

On December 19, 2025, the ministry announced its holiday schedule: “A continuación les informamos del horario de nuestras oficinas durante este fin y principio de año: https://t.co/m1RY33m3a0”.

The following day, the ministry shared a message about personal health precautions and cautioned against self-medicating. On December 20, it posted: “Con estos consejos usted puede proteger su salud. Recuerde la importancia de no automedicarse. https://t.co/cfTVpZjP1C”.

Later that same day, the ministry addressed the issue of violence against women, urging immediate action by calling emergency services if needed. The tweet from December 20 stated: “Llame de inmediato al 9-1-1 para reportar cualquier situación de violenciacontra las mujeres. Esa llamada puede salvar vidas. https://t.co/u4nbvm5582”.

The Ministerio de Salud de Costa Rica regularly uses its social media platforms to disseminate public service announcements and health-related guidance to citizens across the country.
