The Ministerio de Salud de Costa Rica has used its official Twitter account to promote health and wellness initiatives, sharing advice and updates in early November 2025.
On November 7, the Ministry posted a message encouraging physical activity: “Manténgase activo, cuide su cuerpo y fortalezca su mente. Incorporar movimiento en su dÃa a dÃa impulsa su salud, aumenta su energÃa y eleva su calidad de vida. Con pequeños pasos y constancia, logrará grandes resultados. ¡Su bienestar se lo agradecerá!”
A day later, on November 8, the Ministry highlighted the importance of early childhood development and parental engagement through language: “¿SabÃas que hablarle a tu hijo desde bebé puede despertar su lenguaje, fortalecer su mente y crear un lazo más fuerte contigo? CEN-CINAI te anima a estimular, jugar y conectar con tus hijos a través de palabras, cuentos y sonidos que impulsan su desarrollo.” The post referenced CEN-CINAI, an organization that provides care and nutrition services to children and families in Costa Rica.
Later on November 8, the Ministry addressed public health responsibilities related to mosquito-borne diseases by promoting a tire collection campaign in Santo Domingo de Heredia: “Cuidar de la salud es nuestra responsabilidad Vecinos de Santo Domingo de Heredia, entreguen sus llantas en desuso en la campaña de recolección organizada por nosotros en alianza con #Fundellantas, trabajando juntos para evitar los potenciales criaderos de mosquito del dengue”. These efforts are part of ongoing national campaigns aimed at preventing outbreaks of diseases such as dengue by eliminating potential breeding grounds for mosquitoes.
Costa Rica’s Ministry of Health regularly collaborates with organizations like Fundellantas and CEN-CINAI to implement public health strategies across various regions. These partnerships focus on both disease prevention—such as controlling mosquito populations—and promoting healthy habits among citizens from an early age.
