The Ministerio de Salud de Costa Rica has recently published several announcements on its official Twitter account, focusing on support for entrepreneurs and public health advice.
On September 3, 2025, the ministry addressed small business owners and entrepreneurs, stating: “Emprendedores y representantes de PYMES:
Les invitamos a las diferentes charlas virtuales y gratuitas en temas de permisos y registros de productos, en directo por la plataforma Zoom. En este enlace se puede registrar de forma gratuita https://t.co/qG7fToibBP https://t.co/v7mn4iUVAV”.
The following day, on September 4, 2025, the ministry shared health guidance to the general public: “No se automedique. Proteja su salud siguiendo estos consejos https://t.co/JON6dRYqVA”.
Later that same day, a message was directed specifically at business owners in Tibás: “Comerciantes y emprendedores de Tibás: ¿Debe tramitar su permiso sanitario de funcionamiento o registrar un producto y no sabe cómo hacerlo? Aquà le ayudamos https://t.co/XKuynNCAwo”.
These communications are part of ongoing efforts by the Ministerio de Salud to facilitate compliance with health regulations among small businesses and promote safe medical practices in Costa Rica. The ministry frequently provides educational resources and assistance to help local entrepreneurs navigate regulatory requirements for product registration and sanitary permits. Public campaigns discouraging self-medication are also a recurring theme in their outreach programs.
