The Ministerio de Salud de Costa Rica issued a series of public health messages on April 28, 2026, through its official Twitter account. The posts focused on personal health protection, responsible waste management, and the risks associated with vaping.

In its first post of the day, the Ministry emphasized self-care practices and cautioned against self-medication. (April 28, 2026).

Later that afternoon, the Ministry addressed environmental health by encouraging households to separate their waste. (April 28, 2026).

In a subsequent post, the Ministry warned about the dangers of vaping. (April 28, 2026).

The Ministry of Health is responsible for public health policies in Costa Rica and frequently uses social media platforms to disseminate information on topics such as medication safety, environmental responsibility in waste management—highlighting that organic waste can be composted rather than sent to landfills—and emerging health risks like vaping.
