The Ministry of Health of Costa Rica used its official Twitter account to share public health recommendations between February 13 and 14, 2026. The tweets focused on basic care in schools, water conservation during shortages, and the promotion of both emotional and physical health.

On February 13, 2026, the Ministry emphasized safe school environments and healthy habits for students at the start of the academic year.

Later that day, the Ministry addressed water scarcity issues and encouraged citizens to adopt conservation practices. In its post from February 13, it said: “En tiempo de escasez de agua, es vital que todos colaboremos.

On February 14, 2026, the Ministry highlighted the importance of holistic well-being in observance of Valentine’s Day.

Costa Rica has experienced recurring water shortages due to seasonal droughts and increased demand in recent years. Public institutions frequently call on residents to conserve water through practical measures at home.

The Ministry of Health regularly conducts public awareness campaigns at the beginning of each school year to reinforce healthy routines among children and their families.
