The Ministry of Health has announced temporary closures for its Curridabat and Escazú offices due to relocation and infrastructure improvements.

In Curridabat, in-person services will be suspended on February 18, 19, 20, and 23, 2026. The office is moving to new facilities during this period. To ensure continuity of services, the Montes de Oca Health Area will provide support for those needing in-person assistance related to Curridabat.

The new location for the Curridabat Health Area will open on February 24, 2026. It is situated at Granadilla, Curridabat, from Taller Wabe: 75 meters east, 100 meters south, and 50 meters west.

For Escazú, the Health Area will suspend in-person services on March 4, 5, and 6, 2026 as it relocates. During these days, residents can go to the Pavas Health Area for their administrative needs related to Escazú.

Starting March 7, 2026, the new address for the Escazú Health Area will be San José, Escazú, San Rafael sector Vista Alegre: 250 meters southeast from the Fuerza Pública station.

The Ministry stated: “El Ministerio de Salud agradece la comprensión de la población ante estas medidas, que forman parte de los esfuerzos institucionales para mejorar la infraestructura y fortalecer la calidad de los servicios.” (Translation: “The Ministry of Health thanks the public for their understanding regarding these measures which are part of institutional efforts to improve infrastructure and strengthen service quality.”)

Users are advised to plan their visits ahead of time and stay informed through official channels for any further updates.
