The Ministry of Health has authorized the partial reopening of the Lito Pérez Stadium following recent improvements and structural work. Over the past weekend, approval was granted for the use of seating areas in both the east and west sections.

With this authorization, the stadium’s capacity is now approximately 1,500 people. The ministry stated that this allows fans to attend events under safe infrastructure and security conditions.

Work on further upgrades will continue in phases, aiming to eventually enable full use of the stadium. The completion of these requirements is expected to benefit both the local community and economic activity in Puntarenas.

The Ministry emphasized its ongoing oversight: “The Ministry of Health will remain vigilant about strict compliance with all safety standards, thus ensuring the protection, well-being, and peace of mind for fans and users of the facilities.”
