The Ministry of Health has announced the official release of the National Guidelines for the Implementation of Clinical Data Interoperability. This initiative will allow medical information, such as laboratory results and imaging reports, to be shared among public health centers.

With this new measure, both private and public medical centers will be able to exchange clinical information securely and in an organized manner. The ministry states that this will make it easier for healthcare providers to conduct consultations, generate reports, and monitor patients without requiring repeated procedures or unnecessary tests.

According to the Ministry of Health, these technical guidelines are publicly available at https://www.ministeriodesalud.go.cr/index.php/guias-interoperabilidad. The ministry emphasizes its commitment to modernizing the healthcare system and enabling more agile, safe, and efficient care for all individuals.
