The Ministry of Labor and Social Security announced on May 6 the opening of new offices in Alajuela, designed to provide faster, more modern, and accessible services for workers and employers. The facilities aim to offer improved support for labor matters.
The new offices will allow users to complete procedures related to the Directorate of Labor Affairs, including consultations, severance calculations, and both individual and collective conciliation processes. The National Inspection Directorate will also be available at this location to receive complaints about violations of labor regulations.
The office is located in downtown Alajuela, 10 meters south of the Red Cross. It will be open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Officials say these changes are intended to make it easier for people in Alajuela province to access government services related to employment rights and workplace disputes.
