The Ministry of Public Works and Transport (MOPT) and the National Road Council (CONAVI) announced on March 26 the publication of a tender in the Integrated Public Procurement System for the design and construction of two elevated crossings in Batán and Matina.

These projects are described as part of the first package to implement definitive solutions in both areas. The announcement marks a step toward improving road safety and traffic flow along Route 32, which is an important corridor for local communities.

In addition to these projects, authorities also published a tender for the design and construction of six pedestrian bridges along Route 32. These will be located in Jiménez, Germanía-Alegría, El Cairo, Batán, Carrandi, and Río Blanco.

CONAVI said it remains committed to advancing infrastructure in Limón province by delivering a functional and safe highway for all users traveling this national route.
