Motorcyclist seriously injured after collision with bus in downtown San Jos

A man was seriously injured on Tuesday night after his motorcycle collided with a bus in the Carmen district of downtown San José, according to the Red Cross.

The accident occurred at the intersection of Avenida 5 and Calle 3. The Red Cross reported that they received the alert at 9:15 p.m. Upon arrival, responders found the motorcyclist trapped under the bus, having suffered blunt trauma to one of his lower limbs.

Rescue teams freed the man and transported him urgently to Hospital del Trauma for specialized medical care. The Red Cross dispatched two advanced support units and a rescue unit to the scene.
