National Lottery announces winners for January 4 draw

The National Lottery of the Junta de Protección Social (JPS) announced the winning numbers for the ordinary draw 4,883, held on Sunday, January 4. This was the first lottery draw of 2026.

The top prize went to ticket number 03 with series 497. This prize pays ¢175 million per issuance, totaling ¢350 million across two issuances. The winning ticket was sold in Moravia, San José, and was drawn at 8:02 p.m., near the end of the evening’s event.

The second prize was awarded to number 61 with series 570. This prize is valued at ¢60 million over two issuances (¢30 million per whole ticket). It was drawn at 7:34 p.m. and tickets were sold in downtown San José and Oreamuno, Cartago.

The third prize went to number 79 with series 347, providing ¢28 million in total (¢14 million per issuance). Winning tickets for this category were sold in Escazú and Curridabat within San José province.
