Centros Comerciales Pradera recently organized the first edition of the “Chiquitiemprende” market, bringing together more than 30 young entrepreneurs aged 6 to 14 from eight communities where Pradera operates. These regions include Chimaltenango, Chiquimula, Escuintla, Huehuetenango, Puerto Barrios, Xela, Zacapa, and zone 12 in Guatemala City.

Children participating in the event showcased products across several categories such as jewelry, crafts, pet items, toys, art, and decorations. The event allowed them to share their initial creations and experience direct sales with visitors.

Winners from each shopping center were awarded a rent-free physical space within Pradera for the month of October to continue selling and promoting their products. In addition to this opportunity for the children, parents and guardians attended a workshop called ā€œFrom Entrepreneurship to Enterprise,ā€ provided by Fundación Juan Bautista GutiĆ©rrez. This session aimed to strengthen their business skills and knowledge.

CMI (Corporación Multi Inversiones) emphasized its ongoing commitment to supporting communities through initiatives that foster opportunities and encourage development.

The organization is currently led by its third generation of family leadership. Juan JosƩ GutiƩrrez Mayorga serves as Chairman of CMI Alimentos while Felipe Bosch GutiƩrrez is Chairman of CMI Capital. Both have expressed their intention to keep investing in sustainable development through programs that support entrepreneurship among local communities.
