Costa Rica had a strong presence in the 2024 edition of the Mejores Empresas Centroamericanas (MECA) program, with six companies recognized for their operational excellence and impact in key sectors such as health, logistics, and technology. The event, organized by Deloitte, Grupo Promerica, and INCAE Business School, evaluated 115 companies from across Central America. Of these, 28 received awards, including Corporación CEK de Costa Rica, Fulzer, Laboratorio San José, MultiFRIO, Rex Logística, and Servicios Computacionales Novacomp.

The evaluation process used Deloitte’s Value Map methodology to analyze more than 36 dimensions of management and performance.

The MECA program aims not only to recognize excellence but also to provide participating companies with confidential diagnostics that highlight opportunities for improvement in areas such as competitiveness, marketing, and financial viability.

Winners attended an award ceremony in San Salvador that included a symposium on sustainable leadership led by INCAE Business School and workshops facilitated by Deloitte.

All companies completing the evaluation process receive a free and confidential diagnostic report identifying strengths and recommendations for improvement.

Registration is open for the 2025 edition of MECA. More information can be found at www.mejoresempresasdelatinoamerica.com/MECA.
