A truck fire caused significant traffic congestion on Route 27 in EscazĂș on Monday afternoon. The incident occurred in the Alto de las Palomas area, affecting the direction from San JosĂ© to Santa Ana.

User reports indicated that traffic jams stretched from near Multiplaza EscazĂș to close to the AyA water tanks. Alternative routes in the area also experienced slow movement and widespread disruption.

According to firefighters, “the fire caused a failure in the vehicle’s brake system, which made the truck continue moving while it was burning.” The situation created chaos among drivers traveling at that time.

The Red Cross reported that two people were affected by the incident. A man suffered second-degree burns on one arm, and a woman was treated for an anxiety attack. Both individuals received care at the scene from two advanced support ambulances and declined transportation to a medical facility.
