Two people rescued after car collision in Cartago

On Monday afternoon, emergency services responded to a head-on collision involving two cars in San Nicolás de Cartago, near the Covao School. The incident was attended by firefighters from the Cartago Station and personnel from the Red Cross.

According to information provided by the firefighters, three people were traveling in one of the vehicles and none were trapped following the crash. In the other car, there were five occupants; two of them became trapped inside and had to be rescued by emergency responders.

A total of eight individuals received care at the scene. They were evaluated and stabilized by Red Cross staff. Preliminary reports indicated that none of those involved required transportation to a medical facility.
