A vehicle crashed into a road divider and fractured a public lighting pole on March 25 in San Sebastián, San José. The incident took place at night along the Circunvalación highway, approximately 400 meters from the San Sebastián roundabout heading toward Parque de La Paz.

The crash caused structural damage to the barrier and broke the light pole, resulting in two lanes being blocked in the area. Emergency services responded to the scene with a fire engine, an ambulance unit, and two rapid response motorcycles.

One person was evaluated by emergency personnel but declined transportation to a medical facility. Authorities have not reported further injuries or provided details about what led to the collision.

The blockage of lanes affected traffic flow while crews worked to secure the site and assess damage. The incident highlights ongoing concerns regarding road safety on busy routes such as Circunvalación.

Officials have not announced when full lane access will be restored or if additional repairs will be necessary.
